On Friday, April 12th, Google Certified Teachers and Trainers were invited to come back to Google NYC for a GCT Reboot to find out about the latest and greatest happenings with Google technologies in education. In this hangout, Reboot attendees Alice Barr, John Calvert, Jesse Lubinsky and Jennifer Cronk discussed the event in detail. We were particularly lucky to have Alice join us as she was one of the organizers of this year's GCT Reboot. Overall we were so happy with how GCT Reboot 2013 turned out and simply can not wait for the next one!

I agree with John some people some people still compare office 360 with Google apps. And I think the reason is because Microsoft for the longest was the standard for Office applications and email so choosing Microsoft is something they are familiar and comfortable with.

Completely agree with Eric's comment. Office is still considered the standard for productivity applications and many, in both the business and education worlds, do not feel comfortable suggesting going with a cloud-based solution even with the name Google behind it. I think those old attitudes are changing a bit though, in large part due to the fact that the nature of "how we work" is changing.
